Social Justice | Social World
The Department of Sociology at The Catholic University of America is dedicated to the study of human social activity – thinking systematically and critically about society. Our faculty publish in fields ranging from family and immigration to criminology, gender, and ethnicity. While our critical approaches vary widely, we share a love of sociology research and a dual commitment to scholarship and teaching.
The curriculum provides Catholic University sociology students with a strong grounding in three principal fields: crime and justice, global and comparative processes, and public policy analysis. Students not interested in any of these fields can major in general sociology.
