Institutional Flourishing Lab

The Institutional Flourishing Lab at The Catholic University of America conducts research and facilitates conversations on the factors that shape the flourishing of institutions.

In addition to research, we host events that inform and extend our learning, bringing together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and the general public. We plan to build new networks and disseminate our work through videos, podcasts, and social media. Synthesizing our learning will also produce considerable scholarly output as well as practical insights. Our work therefore bears relevance to scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and the broader public.

  • Why We Exist

Our focus is not simply on the flourishing of individuals (though it certainly includes considerations of workplace well-being, resilience, burnout, and so on), but on understanding what it means for institutions to thrive.
